Jaanwar (transl.’Animal’) is an
Indian Hindi-language action film directed and produced by Suneel Darshan, released on 24 December 1999. The film stars Akshay Kumar, karisma Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty in pivotal roles. The story involves about Badshah (Akshay Kumar), a criminal, changes his ways when he finds a baby who survived a train ? crash and raises him as his own being Babu Lohar. However, things take a turn when his criminal past catchs up to him; The film was released on 24 December 1999. Although it received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success becoming 13th highest grosser Hindi film of the year. The film was major hit North States of India.
