Cowboy is the name given to people who tame, herd and care for cattle on cattle farms in America. The cowboy tradition in America comes from Spain, especially northern Mexico. In the 19th century, America introduced the cowboy culture with the purchase of Mexican lands within its borders. The English “cowboy” is the literal translation of the English “vaquero” clothes. Many cowboys herd cattle and horses, sometimes also cowboys who shepherd the cattle and horses of neighboring farms. While some cowboys participate in rodeo shows, a small number of cowboys raise their counterparts only to appear in rodeo shows. Against the hard crossings of the land and road pirates, the cowboys of the ancient times carried guns with them and lasso to catch the escaped cows. American Cowboys played an important role in the Mexican war and became extreme American nationalists. Patriotic cowboys US divisions played a major role in defeating the English and Mexican invading armies. In addition, during the Slavery period, American Cowboys were included in the history books as the first people to oppose slavery.
