The final Halloween movie, for reals this time, Halloween Ends has been… divisive, to say the least. Having finally seen it, I can certainly understand why.
As far as trilogies go, this is yet another deconstructing tale that does it’s best to work as a stand alone story rather than lean into the strengths of trilogies. As far as Halloween movies go, it goes weird and doesn’t really hold back for things like audience expectations, character motivations or even a self contained consistent message.
Still, I did my best to sum it up in 20ish minutes, based on a single viewing and my shoddy memory. Woo!
