I mention it in the video, but I actually had a headache while filming this, which is why I start off a little subdued and mardy. But I loosen up a bit halfway through – especially when I draw a nose and whiskers on myself with surprising accuracy.
It’s Lars! You remember? The weird MUA with a dodgy Australian accent and a penchant for bad, unblended makeup! If you’re unfamiliar with them, they feature in several my videos and – I think – are one of my earliest characters? I’ll make a playlist of just their videos, so you can deep-dive, if you fancy it. Or I might forget to do that. Chase me up if I don’t. Or maybe you’ll forget to chase me up? Then where are we left… I dunno…
Anyway, in this ASMR makeup roleplay, Lars will be dishing out loads of VERY up-close personal attention as they paint your face ready to be a quintessential ‘sexy cat’ (what bizarre creatures humans are) for Halloween, with soft-spoken positive affirmations and, naturally, some makeup application. This is all before cancelling going out and deciding to stay in with some tinnies and the flix to help with anxiety, which seems to be a pattern, but not an unhealthy one.
Main ASMR trigger included are admiring you (aww), impressions of a cat being sick (aww?), applying moisturiser lotion, mic brushing, telling people to f**k off, face brushing, detailed eye attention, and lots and lots of positive affirmations with sass. Enjoy!

? What is ASMR? ?
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.
? What is FPC? ?
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
