Middle of the 17th century. The colonial division of North America continues. The struggle of England and France for territorial dominance divided and made enemies of Indian tribes and European settlers. Raised by Indians, Deerslayer, along with his blood brother Chingachgook, tries to save two girls living with their father in a small fort on the river from an attack by a hostile Huron tribe.
